Items for discussion at the GPA/IPO AGM 2019

The rule about knee wraps and knee sleeves and wraps is here:

"Knees: Wraps not exceeding 2.5m in length and 8cm in width may be worn. Alternatively, elasticized knee supports not exceeding 30cm in length may be worn. A combination of the two is not permitted. A knee wrap shall not extend beyond 15cm above and 15cm below the center of the knee joint, not exceeding a total of 30cm in both directions. Knee wraps shall not touch the socks or lifting suits.  "AGM 2015:  Knee sleeves may not exceed 30cm in length and be of 1 single ply.  Knee wraps may not exceed 2.5m and be of 1 single ply."
The rule as it is written does not consider the thickness of the knee sleeve.  It only says it must be single ply.  It is a little ambiguous and subject to interpretation.  I think it needs more discussion.

Leo Cavaglia writes:
To establish a thickness in knee sleeve and also approve the use of knee wraps of 3 meters since for 2.5 mts heavy athletes its bandage is short for heavier lifters.

Mauro proposes to try AGM
Jury
"If a serious mistake occurs in the refereeing which is contrary to the technical rules, the Jury may take appropriate action
to correct the mistake. They may at their discretion, grant the lifter a further attempt"
